MCGILL'S MEDICAL SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS

PREREQUISITES AND CREDIT REQUIREMENTS

• 2 BIOLOGY COURSES

• 2 CHEMISTRY COURSES

• 2 PHYSICS COURSES

• 1 ORGANIC CHEMISTRY COURSE

• 120 credit 4-year Bachelor's degree form any discipline or a 90-credit program form a Quebec university.

• Minimum of 60 consecutive graded credits.

• A full course load (eg. 12-15 credits) is expected in regular sessions.

• Summer or other interim sessions are acceptable provided that a full course load is maintained during the regular school year.

GRADE REQUIREMENTS

• Applicants with a GPA below 3.4 are rarely considered competitive

• Successful applicants tend to have a GPA above 3.5 (average approximately 3.8)

MCAT

• Applicants need a total score of 508-509+ or a total score in the 80th percentile (or greater) in order to be considered competitive.
